If I can’t find what I’m looking for on a company’s website I’ll go to Amazon (and if it’s not there that’s when I go to Aliexpress). And often I’ll do price comparisons too as sometimes they can be cheaper. But not always. I’ve noticed they also use Chinese companies to import shoes from so you still have shipping costs to pay and have to wait longer for delivery. And, when this has been the case, I’ve found the shipping is quicker when Amazon acts as the ‘middle man’. My latest purchase from Amazon was for these fabulous sandals:

Amazon, wooden wedge platform sandalsSold out!

I’d been hunting for these sandals from various companies on the internet, but all of a sudden they were all sold out… from all of them! It wasn’t until a few weeks later I was browsing through Amazon and their image flagged up, so I quickly ordered them in case they sold out again. Which they did, so sometimes you have to be quick. It’s also worth keeping a wish list and going back to check every so often as although the shoes can be sold out from a certain seller, Amazon normally finds another one in a short period of time. That seems to be why the prices can differ so much.

Making it easy…

Amazon makes it easy for the customer, especially when it comes to narrowing down your search to exactly what you’re looking for, meaning you don’t have to trawl through thousands of images… unless of course you have the time! I’ve also found their customer service very helpful and retuning goods is a very simple process, which they guide you through.

Go to amazon.com or amazon.co.uk (if you live in the UK)
